The Mental Health Equity and Liberation Summit is held in recognition of July as Mental Health Liberation Month and serves as the institute's premiere allyship event.

A diverse array of speakers have been invited to share their perspectives on what it means to provide culturally responsive mental health care and services. This year’s summit will take place at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Alumni House in historic Birmingham, Alabama on July 23, 2026.
